Cristiano Ronaldo welcomes twins with surrogate mother

Footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly become a father to twin babies with a surrogate mother joining six year old son. Rumours that the footballer was expecting twins with a surrogate mother based in the USA began to circulate earlier this year.

According to media in Cristiano’s native Portugal – Portuguese television network SIC – the twins are a boy and a girl called Eva and Mateo.

The channel reported: "Mateo and Eva, those are the names of Cristiano Ronaldo’s twins. The boy and girl were born to a surrogate mum. It’s a secret that Cristiano Ronaldo hasn’t yet revealed to the rest of the world."

The newborn babies are said to have been born on Thursday 8 June.

Cristiano is already father to six year old son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, whom he is rumoured to have had via surrogacy back in 2010.

Cristiano Jr’s mother has never been publicly revealed.

In his candid documentary, Cristiano revealed how his little boy doesn’t need a mother, giving fans a glimpse into his private life for the first time.

Opening up about being a single father in the tell-all window into his life, he says the young lad: "doesn't need a mother, just me. Having a father is enough."

When speaking about the circumstances surrounding his son's birth, Ronaldo explained: "People speculate I was with this girl or another, or there was a surrogate mother.

"I have never told anyone and never will. When Cristiano is grown up I will tell him what I did, what I felt, everything that went through my mind.

"Some children never get to know their parents, neither mother nor father. Having a father is enough."

Ronaldo is currently in a relationship with jaw-dropping model Georgina Rodriquez, 23.
