In a statement to PEOPLE Magazine, Brad Pitt said, "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids. I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
Angelina Jolie also made a statement through Geyer Kosinki who told E! News that she wants to do what's in the best interest to her family.
He said, "Angelina will always do what's in the best interest of taking care of her family. She appreciates everyone's understanding of their need for privacy at this time."
