Aisha Buhari faces serious backlash as she tried to shake the Alaafin of Oyo

Reactions are trailing these photo of the wife of the president, Mrs Aisha Buhari seen trying to shake the hands of the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi, during an event at University of Maiduguri last week.


According to traditional laws, she is not supposed to shake the Traditional King. The Alaafin also politely refused to accept the handshake but grabbed her two hands with his own as they greeted each other amidst smiles and laughter.
