Ivanka Trump says she is shocked by the "viciousness" levelled at her father's presidency.

Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka, has hit out at her Father's critics after the US leader's first five months in office.

Appearing on "Fox and Friends" on Monday, Ivanka said:

 "We want to do big, bold things, and we're looking to change the status quo.
"So, I didn't expect it to be easy. I think some of the distractions and some of the, the ferocity was - I was a little blindsided by on a personal level.""My father and this administration intends to be transformative, and we want to do big, bold things.
"With all the noise, with all the intensity of the media coverage... ultimately, we're really focused on why the American people elected Donald Trump as their president."

President Trump took to Twitter to advertise his daughter's television appearance, tweeting, "Enjoy!"
