The Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria, APBN, has called on the Federal Government for a partnership in order to end the economic crisis confronting the nation. APBN, which disclosed this in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, weekend, during the
inauguration of the Rivers State chapter of the body, said that it has all it takes to turn around the country’s economic situation.
President of APBN, Mr. Fuloso Fasoto, said that if the government partners professionals in the country, the economic challenges confronting the nation would be tackled. Fasoto noted that the government had not been working closely with professionals in the different fields of endeavours, adding that it was the reason the nation was still in crises.
“We are currently a country in recession and we have no business to been in recession. This is the time the government needs the professionals most to advise it, and help the government by monitoring its programmes and activities so that we can tap into all the resources of the nation to make Nigeria be among the leading countries at the global level,” he said.
