Jim Carrey's ex-girlfriend Cathriona White left him a heartbreaking suicide note saying; "I'm just not of this world"

New details have emerged following the death of Jim Carrey's girlfriend, Cathriona White.

The actress was found dead in her home in September 2015 after an apparent suicide and according to documents that has surfaced, the 28-year-old left a suicide note for the actor.

It was reported at the time that the two were on and off throughout their three-year relationship and had split shortly before her death.

"I'm just not for this world," the note read. "I've spent 3 days now in disbelief that you're not here. I can go on broken hearted and try to put the pieces back. I could, I just don't have the will this time. I'm sorry you felt I wasn't there for you. I tried to give you my best part."

The letter goes on to say, "I don't really know about burial or that sort of thing. You are my family so whatever you choose will be fine. Please forgive me. I'm just not for this world."

Per court records, it appears that police found a text message on White's phone from Carrey asking if she knew the whereabouts of several bottles of prescription painkillers.

White was pronounced dead at the scene from a possible overdose and was found with pills beside her.

Shortly after her passing, Carrey released the following statement, "I am shocked and saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona. She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled. My heart goes out to her family and friends and to everyone who loved and cared about her. We have all been hit with a lightning bolt."
