Rachel Roy releases statement, denies being ''Becky with the good hair''

Rachel Roy has released a statement about the rumors that she is "Becky with the good hair."

Beyonce turned the internet upside down when it turned out LEMONADE was actually an entirely new (visual) album from the pop star. That was the only thing getting the internet topsy-turvy, the fact that Beyonce alleges that her husband Jay Z cheated on her in the album created in even more controversy, putting the BeyHive to work in attempt to locate "Becky with the good hair."

It just so happened on the same night Beyonce dropped, Rachel Roy posted an Instagram photo with a caption touting her "good hair"-- the BeyHive quickly attacked, and even mistakenly attacked another Rachael, Rachael Ray.

Now Rachel Roy has come forward to officially deny that she is "Becky with the good hair." Talking with People, Roy said,

"I want to put the speculation and rumors to rest. My Instagram post was meant to be fun and lighthearted, it was misunderstood as something other than that," she said.
"There is no validity to the idea that the song references me personally. There is no truth to the rumors. "Consequently, online haters have targeted me and my daughters in a hurtful and scary manner, including physical threats. As a mother – and I know many mothers would agree – I feel that bullying in any form is harmful and unacceptable. I would hope that the media sees the real issue here – the issue of cyber bullying – and how it should not be tolerated by anyone.

Her initial Instagram post has since been deleted.
