The Beyhive totally called out ‘W’ magazine for editing the singer’s hips and legs to take away from her flawless curves.
That’s not Beyonce on the cover of W! Okay, maybe it is, but when the 34-year-old singer rocked the cover of the magazine in 2011, she wasn’t nearly as curvy as she normally appears. Nearly five years later, the pic is causing controversy with Beyonce’s fans amidst her Lemonade drama— and the mag is getting some serious shade for photoshopping Queen B!
To commemorate the release of Beyonce’s new album, Lemonade, Wshared a picture from her July 2011 spread in the mag. While it’s hard to deny that Beyonce looks incredible in the shot, at the same time, her waist and legs appear to be much thinner than the Bey bod fans are used to. She even has a thigh gap! Where did that come from? Fans are wondering the same thing…
The picture quickly sparked a slew of angry comments, accusing the magazine of using photoshop to make ever-so-curvy Beyonce look way too skinny. “Terrible job… she loves and embraces her curves and thighs… why would you photoshop them?” one fan wrote. “jesus these ain’t even her legs!! photoshopping is getting absurd! get real,” another fan exclaimed. Some fans scolded the mag for being disrespectful to their “perfect” Bey! See the pic below!
