Photos: contortionist shows off her incredible flexibility after split from husband

A contortionist who recently split from her husband says she hopes her new calendar featuring a series of eye-watering photographs will help heal her broken heart. 

Russian-born former gymnast Zlata, 29, posed in leather and lingerie to adopt a series of poses that seem to defy every law of biology.

Zlata, real name Julia Guenthel, is 5ft 8ins and used every opportunity in the  images to demonstrate her incredible flexibility in the pictures which she hopes 'emphasise her charms'.


She said: 'After this year's separation from my husband, I wanted to emphasise my charms in the new calendar.'That was the idea for my new calendar.'

In 2011 she set the Guinness World Record for the most beer bottles opened in a minute using only your feet.

Four years earlier she had set the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to burst three balloons using only your back which Zlata achieved in 12 seconds. See more photos after the cut
