Toddler survives being alone for several days after grandmother's death.

Accoring to Police report, the baby girl was found alive but dehydrated and very hungry on Saturday.

The police report also says her grandmother, 58-year-old Anette Ineichen, was found dead in the house. Officials believe she had been dead for some period of time.

Police Chief Tony Crisp says the child was brought to a hospital, where she was treated for dehydration and lack of food. Crisp says the child has been released into the care of the Department of Children's Services.

Police visited the home after the toddler's mum said she couldn't reach her own mum on the phone for some days.

Ineichen's daughter, 28-year-old Tracy Ineichen, says her mother had been caring for the child since she was jailed in September.

Police say Anette Ineichen's cause of death hasn't yet been determined.
