Photo: Ojeme Ewhudjakpor becomes first Nigerian female deputy Corps Marshal


The Federal Road Safety Commission has appointed Ojeme Ewhudjakpor as its first Deputy Chief Corps Marshal in charge of operations.


According to a statement by the FRSC spokesman, Bisi Kazeem, Ms. Ewhudjakpor’s was appointed after the retirement of her predecessor, Abu Adei.

The redeployment exercise which has been underway within the agency affected 32 senior officers, 13 Corps Commanders and 10 Deputy Corps Marshals.

Prior to Ojeme’s appointment, she has served the Corps in various capacities as Sector Commander in several states of the federation, Zonal Commander as well as head of several departments at the headquarters.

“A graduate of UNILAG with a Master’s Degree from the University of Ibadan, DCM Ewhrudjakpor is the first woman to rise to the position of Assistant Corps Marshal and Deputy Corps Marshal in the history of the FRSC. She is an alumnus of the National War College,” Mr. Kazeem said.
