A suicide bomber killed scores after he blew himself up among crowds of members of the Islamic movement under the leadership of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky who were on this year’s Arba’een symbolic trek from Kano to Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatullah, Zaria, Kaduna State. 


According to the Media Team Leader of the 2015 Arba’een symbolic trek Ibrahim Usman the incident occurred at Dakasoye village area of Garun Mallam local goverment Kano state around 2:30pm, explaining that over 20 people were reported dead while others have sustained various degrees of injuries..

Meanwhile, the Kano state Amir of the Islamic movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Muhammad Mahmud Turi has ordered the continuation of the procession, saying that no amount of threat would deter them.
